Welcome to Rate My Congressman, an interactive piece where you can share your thoughts about your representatives in Congress. Please use this blog as a forum to talk about those individuals who represent you in the House of Representatives for the 110th Congress. This blog is just the first step in a website that we are developing that will allow you to actually rate your representatives. The blog will be an integral part of that upcoming site, but we will also have applications that allow you to judge on a 1-5 scale, so stayed tuned for more information on those developments.

The 5th Iowan Congressional District covers most of western Iowa, which includes the cities of Council Bluffs, Carroll, Spencer, Storm Lake, Le Mars, and Sioux City.
It is currently represented by Republican Steve King, who has served since 2003.
The 4th Iowan Congressional District covers most of northern Iowa, and extending into central Iowa; including the college town of Ames, Marshalltown, Boone, Mason City, and Fort Dodge.
It is currently represented by Republican Tom Latham, who has served since 1995.
The 3rd Iowan Congressional District currently covers an area from Des Moines (on the western end) to the western outskirts of the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area (on the northeastern end) to the western outskirts of the Cedar Rapids area (on the eastern end) and to Lucas and Monroe Counties (on the southern end).
It is currently represented by Democrat Leonard Boswell, who has served since 1997.
The 2nd Iowan Congressional District generally covers the most of the southeastern part of the state, some important cities in the district include Iowa City, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Burlington, and Cedar Rapids.
It is currently represented by Democrat David Loebsack, who has served since 2007.
1st Iowan Congressional District generally covers the northeastern part of the state including Dubuque, Clinton, Davenport and Waterloo.
It has been represented by Democrat Bruce Baley since 2007.
